Put your voice, acting, and interpretive ability to work with personalized coaching from one of the industry’s most skilled and experienced coaches.
It takes considerable effort to become a top voice-over artist. You must be dedicated to your studies, open to constructive criticism, and patient. Breaking lifelong reading-aloud habits is difficult, and frustration is to be expected in the beginning.
Many voice-over coaches provide beginner voice-over workshops. An instructor will listen to one or two readings of short scripts to determine which program/package is best. There are also online voice over training programmes and seminars, which typically consist of one to two-day seminars and/or workshops followed by the creation of a demo. Other programs give a predetermined number of lessons accompanied by demo production. However, I have not found these workshops and courses to be helpful to individuals just beginning in their careers.
Seminars and workshops are a fantastic investment. However, they usually only leave you with a few key points to remember. The best use for them would be to improve on what you already do well. It is not the best choice for a beginner as a primary source of technique-building instruction.
Do you think you can make it as a voice-over artist without doing market research? Do you believe you can compete with seasoned professionals if you haven’t mastered acting, pace, timing, breathing, inflection, or reading comprehension? Do you believe that you can handle learning on your own?
A good living can be made as a voice actor. Don’t fall for the misconception that you can learn to do it quickly. In this business, there are no shortcuts.
I give you a two-hour evaluation, as well as a candid, in-depth critique of your ability and potential, and develop a course of one-on-one instruction with extensive voice over lessons. This is the single most important investment you’ll make in your voice-over career. As you progress, we’ll decide when it’s best for you to create your demo.
I’ve refrained from proposing all-inclusive packages because I believe that one-on-one voice over mentoring or a small group setting focused on individual growth is the only way to make genuine progress. That is why I only teach one-on-one.
